HTC Desire 12 Plus fixes its 6-inch large IPS panel onto a well crafted metallic device that gives off a smooth feel at its rear. The rear of the smartphone releases a lustrous effect as it sports a dual rear camera setup at its top left corner. At its fore, the phone enjoys a bezel-less display that’s stretched to 76.7% screen-to-body ratio. An HD+ resolution of 720 X 1440 pixels ensures the crispness of the device’s display is good enough for quality media output. Unlike the Desire 12, this smartphone sports the Android Oreo OS as its software. A 13MP primary snapper and 2MP secondary snapper are at the smartphone’s rear to handle the photography from that angle. A LED flash gives the needed brightness in low light conditions. Selfies are taken at the front by a single 8MP sensor without a flash. Under the glass, Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC in conjunction with an octa-core 1.8GHz CPU acts as the phone’s power source. In the graphics unit, the oversight functions are delivered by the Qualcomm Adreno 506 GPU. Where Desire 12 had variance in the memory compartment, HTC decided to stick to the upper variance of 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory alone in this Desire 12 Plus. Meanwhile, the smartphone can extend its capacity to 400GB if the hybrid SIM 2 slot is used to accommodate a MicroSD card. Duration of this device got assigned to the non-removable Li-ion 2,965mAh battery that promises a talk time of 26 hours on 3G.
